The Ethical Humanist Society of the Triangle
(EHST), founded in 1987, is one of 22 societies in the United
States which form the American Ethical Union. See About Us

We meet every Sunday from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
at Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill. Platform meetings
are on the first
and third Sundays of the month. Community leaders, professors,
social activists, as well as our own members inform the
society on ethical issues confronting our local community,
as well
as issues of national and international importance.
On alternate
Sundays we hold discussion groups. Some discussions cover
members' questions and ideas about previous platform
presentations. In others the focus is on
ethical
problems and considerations involved with every area of
our lives, be it personal relationships, greening
the earth, social justice, or alleviating poverty. These are
lively and informative, bringing together opinions and ideas
that are creative and resourceful. These discussions are an
excellent venue to examine differences
in an ethical pathway for living. The setting is informal
and encourages closer communion with one another and respect
for differences .
