North Carolina Society for Ethical Culture

Health Care is an essential safeguard to human life and dignity, and there is an obligation for the State to ensure that every resident is able to realize this fundamental right. The General Assembly shall provide by law a plan to ensure that every resident of North Carolina has access to appropriate health care on a regular basis.

We of the North Carolina Society of Ethical Culture, acting on ethical and moral values, call upon Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina to serve the public by making basic health care coverage affordable for all the people of North Carolina. We endorse this resolution in light of BCBSNC's increasingly disproportionate executive compensation and administrative costs.
